Fr. Emmanuel is the founder and president of the Lantern Foundation and also the Chief Investment Officer of Lemelson Capital.As a graduate student at Holy Cross Father founded the internet site Amvona which achieved - 120% Compound Annual Growth Rate from its inception in 1999 until 2006. In 2005 Alexa ranked Amvona amongst the 10 ten most visited photography related sites.Father is the author of over four patents including design, business process and software architecture.He writes extensively on the psychology of investment policy as well as on the ethics of contemporary legal and economic issues and has been quoted regularly in the Washington Post, USA Today, CBS News, Fox News, Barron's, The Street, Benzinga, ValueWalk, SeekingAlpha & countless other places.His analysis of the securitization of residential mortgage backed securities, and in particular the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Courts’ ruling on the landmark Bevilacqua and Ibanez cases, have received extensive acclaim from both the legal and financial communities, and have been widely cited and republished.Lemelson Capital is regularly ranked in the top 1% of its peer-group by Morningstar. In Jul & Oct of 2013 as well as April 2014 LCM ranked among the top hedge funds in the world according to Barron’s. In Feb 2014 the firm was featured as a top performing fund in the Preqin global hedge fund report and in Aug of 2014 ranked as the #1 long-biased fund by BarclayHedge.In Jan 2015 LCM topped the Wall Street Journals ranking of best performing funds.From its Sept 2012 inception through Nov 2014, the fund returned a compounded annual gain of 81.93% (56.47% net) and an overall gain of 284.11% (173.79% net). Father holds a BA in Theology and Religious Studies from Seattle University and M.Div from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and is currently working on publishing his first book entitled “Indigenous Orthodoxy: a canonical perspective on the apostolic mission of the church”.
